Our Boy
I want to remember everything this cute boy does so I decided I needed to write down what he's been up to lately. Here's a quick (nope it turned long) list of my favorite things about this kiddo:
1. He steals chipotle cubes and eats them. I had to move the box out of his reach because he would get into them all the time.
2. When he's grumpy and doesn't want you to talk to him he says, "no" followed by the last thing you said...Me: "Are you tired handsome?" Him: yells back "no handsome"
If I'm being mean I'll ask him "Are you handsome?" to which he replies "NO HANDSOME!" and then I laugh at him. I'm the worst.
3. Sticking with the bad mood theme- He does not like getting kisses when he's in a bad mood (who does? ) but of course I can't help it sometimes so when I do kiss him he yells, "NO BESO HEAD or BOCA" depending on where I kissed him.
4. This kid loves his hats. He always wears one when we go out. He gets to pick between wearing a hat out or getting his hair done so I don't know if he really loves hats or just hates getting his hair done.
It's nice that aunt Katie can create awesome hats for him
5. Always counts 2,3,1 instead of 1,2,3
6. There are a couple of words that he uses both Spanish and English. He'll say "ocho eight, azul blue, and goro hat"
7. He can be pretty indecisive so when you ask him what he wants to watch he'll say, "Shrek/power rangers". When you pick one of the two it's always the wrong one.
8. He loves the movie "Brave" and is no longer afraid of the bear parts. He's getting pretty good at quoting it too. He has also really gotten into the "Shrek" movies and "Despicable Me". His favorite lines from "Despicable Me" are "Curse you tiny toilet!" and "They are not pajamas!". Ok in the last two days he's started watching "ParaNorman" and is getting really good at his zombie walk.
9. Loves the song "What Makes You Beautiful" by One Direction. It's his favorite dance from Just Dance 4. He has the dance and song memorized for the most part (really you can't understand most of what he's saying). I recently showed him this video the Citrus Heights Stake (church) boys made the young women for girls camp. He loves it. He will watch it over and over and over again. It has avions (planes) and his favorite song. What's not to love? Side note: It also has some of the cutest, little 12-13 year olds I've ever seen. They are adorable!!!
10. He's become a real nose picker. He says, "ewww boogie". Thankfully he doesn't wipe it anywhere. He also ate his first booger the other night. So gross! He hasn't eaten another one since. I'm guessing it was because of Ender's and my reaction when we saw him do it.
11. He loves his lego airplane he got from Mama Jen. I can't wait to get him a lego set when we move.
12. His favorite things to play with are empty soda bottles. He will play with them for hours. The second I pour the last drop out of a bottle, his eyes light up and he says, "roll it?".
13. He loves the TV show "Doctor Who". He takes one of the empty bottles and turns it around in his hands like the tardis in the opening credits and sings the theme song.
14. Every time he takes a bite out of something round like a cracker or cookie ( it becomes the shape of a crescent moon ) he says, "oh luna". At first I was impressed. Now it's just getting old.
15. If he wants to do something like ride on the bus (he loves the bus) but we say no he says, "ya autobus, ya ok autobus" like he's convincing us we're going anyways.
16. When I was teaching him how to take turns I would say, "mommy's turns or Jacob's turn". Now when he wants any thing he says, "Jacob's turn". If he wants a bite of your food "oh Jacob's turn". If he wants to watch something when Ender and I are watching something "Jacob's turn". It's pretty dang cute. We hear Jacob's turn (which sounds more like Jacaturn) a million times a day. He is pretty good at taking turns though.
17. His favorite food is tuna. He would eat it for every meal if it weren't for that dang mercury.
18. His favorite shape is a circle. He spins in circles, runs and dances in circles. Anything he finds that's a circle, like tupperware lids, he turns in a circle and sings, "cir-cu-lo, cir-cu-lo".
19. When he sees people crying he says, "he/she crrrryyyyyyy" with a pout and when he cries he says, "I cry" the same way and then goes to the mirror to watch himself cry which usually turns into him practicing his fake cry.
20. He hates to wait for food. When I tell him something is hot he says, "No it's cold" or "it's warm". He doesn't say hot he says, "ha-ha-hot" every time. Other times he'll take a bite out of something and say, "it's hot" to which I will reply, "it's not hot bud" and he'll say, in a somewhat snarky voice, "it's warm" as if to say, "what do you know mom".
21. Painting is his favorite. He loves to paint in the shower. He is also getting into coloring with both his markers and crayons.
He called this his blue corazon
22. This kid can jump. He is always jumping. He practically jumped all the way to the store today which is about a mile away.
Jacob thinks it's hilarious to climb in his "suitcase drawer" and lay on his clothes
practicing his lock picking skills
hanging out with Rory
getting into mommy's mascara (love that curious little face)
just watching some TV- like you do
