Days 3, 4, & 5

Image
So I mixed up day 3 and 4 so they are in the wrong order. Opps! Day 3-(now) a stranger When I saw I would need to take a picture of a stranger and it fell on Sunday, or so I thought, I knew exactly who I wanted to take a photo of. Every Sunday they shut down one of the major avenues in Mexico City for bike riding. Tons of people come out to ride their bikes. They also have other fitness type activities set up just a couple of blocks from where we live. They always have a stage set up and music blasting for group aerobics or zumba. There is always a crowd of people getting their work out/groove on. It looks like a lot of fun. I noticed the stranger from my photo last week and hoped she would be there again this week. I was happy to see she was. She was there last week in a similar skirt outfit and looks like she is having the time of her life. Look at her face. Isn't she adorable! Day 4-(now) hands Jacob had fun painting the shower before taking one. I love those chubb...

Feb Photo Challenge Day 2

Day 2: WORDS Today the family and I went for a walk around the neighborhood in search of words and tamales. Today is the Day of the Candelaria here in Mexico. I have no idea what it's about but apparently it's celebrated with tamales. I LOVE tamales! We used to get them all the time from a lady who sold them down the street from us but she moved further away and I haven't had a tamale in months. Sadly we were to late getting out of the house for tamales, they're a breakfast thing here, but I did come across lots of words. What I consider my official Day 2 photo: words. It basically says don't be a pig, don't throw your trash here. I love that someone used graffiti to tell people not to throw trash. I know where Ender can get a job soon. This is being built in the same building as a California Pizza Kitchen and around the corner from P.F. Changes. Most of the graffiti photos were taken just a couple blocks from here.   Our subway sto...

February Photo Challenge

Image
I've always wanted to do a photo challenge but was too lazy to do one. Mostly I was afraid of skipping a day or not knowing what photo to take. I really want to stop putting stuff off because I'm too lazy or afraid of messing up. I've decided to do a February photo challenge I saw on pinterest. I'm going to try my best to do every day and post the results here. I'm hoping that by doing this photo challenge it will help me get off my butt and take more photos, especially around our neighborhood. I only have about 5 months left living in Mexico and there are so many things I've wanted to take pictures of. This is the time to do it. I will try to post the challenge photo first and then some others I took as well. Ok so here is the challenge if anyone wants to participate. Today's challenge- my view today (and just about every day) I actually love the view from our living room window. The building's windows are reflective so most of the time it ...
