Feb Photo Challenge Day 2

 Day 2: WORDS

Today the family and I went for a walk around the neighborhood in search of words and tamales. Today is the Day of the Candelaria here in Mexico. I have no idea what it's about but apparently it's celebrated with tamales. I LOVE tamales! We used to get them all the time from a lady who sold them down the street from us but she moved further away and I haven't had a tamale in months. Sadly we were to late getting out of the house for tamales, they're a breakfast thing here, but I did come across lots of words.

What I consider my official Day 2 photo: words. It basically says don't be a pig, don't throw your trash here. I love that someone used graffiti to tell people not to throw trash.
I know where Ender can get a job soon. This is being built in the same building as a California Pizza Kitchen and around the corner from P.F. Changes. Most of the graffiti photos were taken just a couple blocks from here.

Our subway stop. Not quite as fun to say as our Brooklyn stop, Kosciuszko.
My little window shopper.
Ender was waiting for me at the corner and I looked up and saw this.
Having lunch at one of our favorite places, Tacontento.
Happily devouring a quesadilla!

We didn't notice the matching hat styles until we were out the door. Aren't my guys the cutest?! We had a great time being out on such a beautiful, 75 degree day.
