Annual-ish Year-In-Review 2016
2016 Hell of a year, 2016, right? We really wanted to differentiate our Year-in-Review this year by releasing it closer to the Chinese New Year than the Gregorian. Early last year we learned that Ender did not match to any of the internships we wanted and would be staying in Indiana for another year. This was particularly disappointing because it means we have lived in Muncie (recently crowned Meth Capital of the U.S.) longer than any other place. On the bright side, this gave Ender an entire extra year to get solid work done on his dissertation (he didn’t). When we reflect on our decision for Ender to return to school 8 years ago, a 4 year plan that turned into an 8 year plan, we’re so excited to be nearing the end of a long (and impoverished) journey. Less than 2 years to go! Jacob, of course, is the star of the show, something Ender is still trying to get used to. This year he turned 6 and started Kindergarten.
