Just a couple of weeks after we got back from our US visit, we had visitors. We don't get too many here so it's really fun when we do. Ender's parents came and brought along two of our nephews and our niece. On our first adventure Nana and Papa took everyone to Six Flags to swim with the dolphins. It was such a cool experience.

After swimming with the dolphins we (and by we I mean the kids and Ender) enjoyed the rest of the park. They had some pretty cool roller coasters that the older kids enjoyed. Jacob was too small to go on pretty much everything so he hung out in his stroller and walked around. Since it was the summer in Mexico City we got rained on a bit but it didn't really slow us down. It was a long (mostly) fun day.

Finally some sleep
Ender took everyone to see the pyramids. Jacob and I stayed home for this trip. It's kind of a long bus ride and after a long day at Six Flags we decided it was best for us to stay home and nap while everyone else enjoyed the pyramids.

Nana couldn't resist a photo of the kids in front of Condomania, the condom store around the corner from us. We live in an interesting but busy neighborhood.

One of our favorite places in Mexcio City is Xochimilco. You rent a boat to take you around the area. Most of the people who live there have smaller boats that they pull up to yours to sell things. Before we left we went to the store to get some Mexican snacks for everyone to try. ( Later in the week Molly, Jay and I went on a search through our neighborhood to find more of their favorite snacks. ) It was a relaxing trip and the kids had fun spending their money on souvenirs.

Later that day we took everyone on a micro (the smaller and much bumpier buses in Mexico City) and then the subway to get to one of our favorite restaurants, Churros Dourados. It has super delicious food and some amazing stuffed churros to dip in hot chocolate.

We even took everyone on some public transportation. That bus got a lot more crowded.
We had some great food during the visit. The kids weren't big on the street food but really liked some of the restaurants we took them to. Everyone's favorite was a place a couple blocks from us so we went twice.

Jacob showing off for everyone
Ender's parents stayed in a hotel around the corner from us while the kids took turns staying at our place and the hotel. The hotel had some great views from the roof top. The kids and I had a lot of fun swimming in the heated pool. It was really nice and never crowded. We wish we had been able to swim a bit more than we did.

It was a fun long week that everyone mostly enjoyed. Haha! It was nice for everyone to see where we live and why we mostly love it.
