Dia de Los Muertos

For Dia de los Muertos we decided to skip a super crowded trip with Ender's school (which apparently was amazing and we should have gone...dang having a kid sometimes) and instead go back to the first neighborhood we lived in. They have a pretty big cemetery there I always wanted to go to and never did. We decided to take the quick trip there and hope to catch a little of what goes on in the cemeteries on this day. Apparently little happens in that cemetery. We did see the occasional family singing at a grave and some people cleaning up headstones and the surrounding area. I guess most of the celebrating goes on the night before.  We decided it was worth the trip just to get out of the house and to take some photos of the old statues and head stones.

There were weeping angels everywhere (Ender took this shot)

We caught this one picking its nose...not sure what that was about
Check out this crazy guy

Jacob found a friend. He was cracking up at everything this kid did. The little boy's parents were at their relative's grave cleaning the head stone and sweeping up.
Jacob decided he needed to pose for some pictures

Love that silly scrunchy face

So sweet that he made a little friend that day. That cemetery is really cool. Some of my favorite pictures of Jacob. (I know those were all really random sentences to put together, but oh well.)

good pictures. Cool weeping angels and seriously, picking her nose? haha that's kinda funny and random. Love the pictures of Jacob at the end.
