Another school trip

We went on a second trip to, Tetela de Volcan and Yecapixtla, with Ender's school soon after the first one.  The email said we would go see the near by volcano which sounded pretty cool. We got to town after an hour and a half-ish bus drive. The first thing we did was go on a tour of an old church.

I never knew how gorgeous Mexico is.  It really is beautiful and very green.

Mean while, back inside...

There where lots of very old paintings through out the halls of the church.  Everything was painted right on the wall.  I have quite a few photos of many different paintings but if you only have room for one on the blog I say go for the guy (most likely a saint) with the knives in him. After the tour we had a short time to do some shopping outside before getting back on the bus.

Jacob is happy to be roaming free
We got back on the bus to go to another near by town. On the bus someone asked,  "Are we going to the town with the volcano now?" To which the organizer of the trip said, "oh we passed the volcano back that way."  So the trip to visit a volcano was actually a trip to drive past a volcano with no mention of it.  I would have come just to see the churches but really came for the volcano.  We went to lunch after that.  It was awesome and the school paid!
I don't know if this looks good to you but it was.  Well everything except the cactus but I will say it was the best cactus I have had.

Next came this...

It's never good when Jacob doesn't nap.  It's also no good when Jacob is the only baby on the trip and is screaming his head of in the restaurant.  Everyone was pretty understanding and at least he was good on the bus.  It also helps that everyone pretty much thinks he's so darn cute the rest of the time that they forgive him when he acts his age.

After food we had a little bit of time to explore another church and a bit of the town before returning home. Honestly I wish we had had more time in this town. There was a bit more shopping to be done there.

Here's a couple of photos from the second church.

Again with the knife in the head and one in the throat

I love the next two photos. I remember always running my hand against walls and gates when I was young so I think it's so cute when I see Jacob doing the same thing.
